Lafayette Police Charge Man With Attempted Murder

27 year old Kaven Bernard of Lafayette was arrested by City Police yesterday following a Sunday night shooting.

Police were called to a local hospital yesterday afternoon in response to a shooting victim being admitted.  The victim was a passenger in a car driving in the 300 block of Marne Street when he was hit in the right leg by gunfire.  The 45 year old was treated and released.  After investigating, Kaven Bernard was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder.
