Lafayette Police Investigate Armed Robbery

An armed robbery this morning in the 2800 block of Louisiana Avenue turned into a shooting. Lafayette Police responded to a call at 10:00am regarding an armed robbery. The victim said she was getting out of her car when a man got out a truck and grabbed her purse. She struggled with the suspect when another man got out of the truck and began shooting at her and her brother who came to her aid. Both suspects got into a white four door Dodge truck and fled. The truck had LSU stickers on the rear windows. No one was injured by the gunfire but three vehicles in the parking were damaged.
