LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Police are investigating the robbery of another convenience store this week following an armed robbery Thursday night.

According to Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton, employees of the convenience store on Verot School Road said a black male entered the store and pulled out a handgun. He demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, Mouton said.

No one was injured during the incident, Mouton said.

The suspect is described as a black males in his early twenties or thirties. He was wearing a black jacket and a red piece of clothing over his head, police said.
