Lafayette Police Investigate Duval Street Homicide

Lafayette Police are looking for the man responsible for shooting a Duval Street man around 2:25 this morning.

Witnesses told police that 51-year-old Christopher Isacc of Lafayette opened his door after someone knocked on it.

The suspect confronted Isaac after Isaac answered the door, and the two men began to argue with each other.

Witnesses say the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Isaac once, then he fled the area of foot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, but he later died from the gunshot wound.
