On May 19th, at approximately 12:30 am, Lafayette Police responded to a robbery in the 100 block of E. Convent Street. The female victim told police that she was walking to her vehicle in a parking lot when a male suspect approached her holding a pocket knife. The suspect told the victim, 'Turn over your stuff.' At which time the victim gave the suspect her wallet and purse.

The suspect fled on foot and possibly entered a silver car. The victim was not injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a tall, skinny black male approximately 20-30 years of age wearing a white t-shirt.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
