Lafayette Police Investigating Adelma Street Armed Robbery

LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Police are searching for two individuals believed to be responsible for an armed robbery of two men Monday evening.

According to Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton, the two victims were standing near Adelma Street when a "gold four door Saturn drove up to their location."

"The suspect in the passenger's seat exited and approached the two victims," Mouton said. "The suspect produced a handgun and stole the victim's cell phones and cash."

The driver of the Saturn is described as a black male wearing a black jacket. The suspect who exited the car is described as a thin black male wearing a gray sweater and blue jeans.
