LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Police are searching for three suspects who allegedly forced their way into a Verot School Road apartment, taped and tied their victims, and then forced them into a closet.

According to Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton, the three men, described only as black males wearing dark clothing "with their faces concealed," broke into the apartment at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening and struck the victims, placed tape over their mouths, and tied their hands together.

The suspects stole jewelry and electronics before they left the apartment, Mouton said.

The victims received minor injuries, Mouton said.

If you have any information that could help investigators, you're urged to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
