Lafayette Police Involved In High Speed Chase After Armed Robbery

28 year old Michael Moore of Broussard is behind bars after an armed robbery and high speed chase. According to Lafayette Police, a woman walking in the 500 block of General Mouton was robbed of her purse and phone by an armed black man. An officer responding to the armed robbery observed a man matching the description of the robber getting into a white Honda Civic. The officer chased the vehicle with the help of the Broussard Police Department and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. Two men fled the scene when the car was finally stopped in Broussard. Moore was captured and charged with being principal to armed robbery and aggravated flight from an officer.
