Lafayette Police are looking for a man accused of trying to rob some people in their car after they say they were there to pick him up. Corporal Paul Mouton says the victims knew the accused robber casually, by his nickname. The victims told police when they picked him up on Moss Street yesterday afternoon, he pulled out a handgun and demanded money. One of the victims, a man in the rear seat, began struggling with him and the gun went off twice into the front windshield of the vehicle. The accused robber then ran away. None of the victims were injured, including the man who struggled with him and a woman and a 6-year old-boy. If you have any information call 232-TIPS.
