Lafayette Police Looking For Armed Robbery Suspect
Saturday night, September 21 at around 10:50 pm, Lafayette Police were called out to a convenience store in the 4700 block of West Congress Street about an Armed Robbery.
Police say a black male suspect went into the convenience store and pretended to make a purchase.
As the clerk opened the register, the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded cash. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store in a white vehicle.
Police say the suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, with a stocky build.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect to contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
