Lafayette Police Looking For Suspect In Gulf Coast Bank Robbery

Lafayette Police are looking for the man who robbed Gulf Coast Bank on Johnston Street at 9:45 a.m. Friday.

Corporal Paul Mouton says the man went into the bank with a handgun, then jumped behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the man possibly got away in a dark blue SUV. The suspect is a black male, 5’10″ 165 lbs.

No one was injured in the incident. The case remains under investigation.
