Lafayette Police Corporal Paul Mouton says surveillance video identifies 40-year-old Heath Christopher Boutte of New Iberia as the man using a homeowner's credit card at an ATM after allegedly breaking into his house with the other unidentified suspect.
The break-in happened 5:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Dublin Circle. The male homeowner told officers he opened his front door after hearing a knock and was forced back by the two suspects. Once inside, the suspects rummaged through the home and stole several items, including the victim’s wallet. The suspects then fled the area in the victim’s green 2005 Jaguar bearing license plate number XZB582.
Call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS if you have any information about the break-in or know Boutte's whereabouts.
