Lafayette Police Make “Junior/Senior Wars” Arrests
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- A series of high school pranks known as the "Junior/Senior Wars" may have just come to a screeching halt with the arrests of several students, according to Lafayette Police.
According to Cpl. Paul Mouton, public spokesperson for the Lafayette Police Department, police were called out to a home Monday night to a home on Presbytere Parkway after the victim reported that a person shot paintballs at their home, causing damage to the windows.
Police made four arrests Tuesday in connection with that incident, Mouton said. 17-year-old Keegan McDowell of Lafayette, 17-year-old Logan Laborde of Scott, and 17-year-old Brett House of Lafayette were both arrested and charged with simple criminal damage to property, Mouton said. A 16-year-old from Youngsville was also arrested and charged with the same crime, Mouton said.
Police were again called out early Wednesday morning to a home on Roclay Drive regarding damage to a home, Mouton said. In that incident, the "suspects vandalized the residence with toilet paper, eggs, and flour," Mouton said. Another 17-year-old suspect, Antonio Jimenez of Lafayette, was arrested and charged with simple criminal damage to property, Mouton said.
Police expect to make three more arrests, Mouton said.
