At 10:30am today Lafayette Police responded to the 300 block of Sampson Street in regards to a report of a shooting. Police were told a car with multiple people inside drove by and fired 6 shots at the home. No one was injured in that shooting.

Shortly after Police were notified of a shooting at the intersection of Cameron and Pierce. The call was placed by the victim of the shooting from a home on 13th Street. The victim told police he and a woman were driving by the intersection when a pedestrian began shooting at his care. A woman riding in the front seat of the car was struck in the hand and taken to a local hospital where she was treated and released.

After investigation, 19 year old Joshua Trovon Harley of Lafayette was arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder and possession of a firearm with obliterated serial number. Harley is believed to be responsible for the shooting at the intersection of Cameron and Pierce. Harley is also believed to have fled to the house on Sampson Street. Also arrested was 24 year old Christopher James Bartie of Lafayette for assault by drive-by shooting. It's believed Bartie was the driver of the vehicle involved in the Cameron Street shooting. That shooting took place after Bartie supposedly transported the shooting victim to the hospital and then drove to the Sampson Street home firing at the home. The motive for both shootings is believed to be an on-going feud. The investigation continues.
