Lafayette Police Tell Businesses To Be On The Lookout For Quick Change Artists

Lafayette Police are warning local businesses to be on lookout for quick change artists. Corporal Paul Mouton says these people are going in making small purchases, then confusing the store employee with different bills when the employee goes to hand them their change. These suspects have left businesses with as little as $20 and as much as $800. Mouton says this has been reported to them at least 7 times over the last few weeks. Kenneth Wright of Houston was arrested a couple of weeks ago. Police say he was connected to 4 of the incidents. Police have gotten 3 other reported incidents since Wright was arrested.
