Lafayette Powerball Winner Identified? Not Quite.

All the talk of the local Powerball winner got Bernie and me thinking...who do we know that could have bought the ticket? On Monday, we decided the best chance we had at knowing the state's newest millionaire rested in the praying hands of our co-worker Pam. She lives closer to Milton than anyone else we could think of.

As soon as we got details of the big winner, we emailed Pam and got an "out of office" reply back. That's right... our suspected Powerball winner took the day off on Monday. So we picked up the phone and called her bright and early on Tuesday morning. She has a pretty good story, but we're still not sure we believe her.
