Gov. Bobby Jindal appointed two Lafayette residents to the Louisiana Workforce Investment Council.

The Louisiana Workforce Investment Council serves to develop a strategic combined state plan to coordinate and integrate a workforce development delivery system to ensure efficiency and cooperation between public and private entities by advising the governor on the needs of Louisiana’s employers and its workforce.

The Lafayette appointees, and Acadiana representatives, are:

Kathy Bobbs, the CEO and President of Regional Health System of Acadiana. Bobbs will be reappointed to serve as a representative of the medical services and biotechnology sector, as required by statute.

Missy Rogers, the President of Noble Plastics, Inc. Rogers will be appointed to serve as a representative of the general business community, as required by statute.
