Lafayette Road Closures Set For This Week And Beyond

There are three road closures happening in Lafayette, most of them starting this week, that you need to be aware of.

CNN Video Booth - Downtown Lafayette Unlimited will be closing Polk Street (from Vermilion to Congress) beginning at 8:00 a.m. on October 1 until 10 p.m. on October 3.

Bach Lunch - the event, hosted by the Lafayette Science Museum Foundation, is scheduled to happen every Friday in the month of October. This means Polk Street between Congress Street and Vermilion Street will be closed from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. each day.

W. Edith Road Bridge Replacement - Beginning on Monday, October 5, and lasting for approximately 6 months, construction workers will be replacing W. Edith Road Bridge, which will cause W. Edith Road between Picard Road and Gabriel Street to be closed for this amount of time.

In all road closures, detour routes will be made available.
