Lafayette Road/Lane Closures Happening Next Week

As of now, there are two main road/lane closures happening in Lafayette next week.

First, on Sunday, the outside northbound lane on Johnston Street will be closed between Clinton Street and East Grant Street (approximately 0.25 miles south of U.S. 90/Evangeline Thruway, just south of the railroad tracks) for utility work. This will happen from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for utility work. The road will be open to regular traffic with no restrictions or detours.

Also, from Monday through Friday, the outside southbound lane of Ambassador Caffery will be closed for in between La Neuville Road and Chemin Metairie Road. This will happen from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day for the construction of a right turn lane. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
