Lafayette Runaway Located On West Congress Street

The Lafayette Police Department says that the Lafayette Sheriff's Department found a missing girl that had run away from home.

Early Monday, July 21, Jerniesha Harris was found walking in the 4900 block of West Congress Street.

Last Thursday morning, July 17, Harris' mother called police about Jerniesha being a runaway juvenile.  The mother told police that she was concerned for her daughter's safety because she worried the girl may have tried to harm herself.
