At a special meeting last night, the Lafayette Parish School Board agreed on the process and time frame in which the next Lafayette Parish School System superintendent will be chosen.

The board agreed that of the 12 applicants (not 11 as previously reported), three will be chosen as the top candidates via a ballot vote with each board member selecting their top three applicants. The special meeting for this vote will be held in conjunction with the Finance Committee meeting on April 9 at 7 p.m.

From there, no absolute date was chosen for the board to reach its final decision, but members agreed it could be as early as the conclusion of hte interviews on April 22.
