What should be built, where and how much it will cost are some of the topics that will likely be discussed this week when The Lafayette Parish School Board's executive committee gathers to talk about the district's facilities master plan.

In July the Lafayette Parish School Board voted to authorize a committee to gather together to look into the master plan. This group will be also be tasked with give their idea on how the master facilities plan is going to be utilized.  They will likely discuss  issues like school repair and construction.

The  executive committee gather this week, they will also be charged with figuring out how they plan to use the recommendations of the 21-member advisory panel that was appointed with giving their thoughts on how to make use of the master plan.

So far, 1.1 billion dollars in needs exist at schools.
