The Lafayette Parish School Board is expected to move another step closer to the selection of a new schools superintendent when it meets this evening.  Members are scheduled to get together at 6:30 to talk about the voting method for shortening the list of ten finalists for the position to three.  One of the original 11 finalists, Rapides Parish Superintendent Gary Jones, withdrew his name from consideration, deciding to stay put in his current post.
