Lafayette School Teachers May Get Extra Paycheck

Lafayette Parish school teachers could wind up with a fairly sizable extra paycheck next month. 

This evening, the school board is to consider a one-time payout of excess revenue in its 2002 half-cent sales tax fund that totals more than four-million dollars.  "The Advocate" reports the individual payout to full-time teachers could amount to more than 14-hundred dollars.
