This week the Lafayette Parish School Board heard a presentation by a company who says they would like to partner with the system to help them get dropouts back into the system so they can finish school.

The program,The American Academy's No Dropouts program, helps dropouts by helping them to finish high school anywhere and at anytime.

Doug Bonner, the company's spokesperson in Louisiana, told the Advocate that their company provides everything the student needs to finish school.  Bonner says they make sure that students have the correct curriculum, teacher instruction, materials and Internet-ready laptops that are paid for by the No Dropouts program.

Members of the Lafayette Parish School Board are likely to vote on whether or not they want to partner with the company at their meeting on November 28th.
