Lafayette Sexual Assault Victim’s License In Texas

In relation to a sexual assault that occurred in an Acadiana Mall parking lot on December 26, 2013 Lafayette Police say the victim's drivers license has been found in Texas.

The sexual assault happened when the victim was approached by a man holding a handgun. The victim was forced into her vehicle and assaulted. She was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The suspect was described as a white male in his mid 40's white black/grey spikey hair wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, cowboy hat boots and black sunglasses.

The victims drivers license was found recently in Ganado, Texas leading investigators to believe the suspect may have traveled there or to Lafayette for employment reasons.
