Lafayette Sheriff’s Department Administrator John Rogers Explains Why He Is Running For Sheriff

John Rogers has served sixteen years at the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's office.

He tells Bernadette Lee and Brandon Comeaux of "Acadiana's Morning News" that he wanted to be a law enforcement officer all his life.

Rogers has a degree in Criminal Justice from UL Lafayette and a law degree from Southern University.

Rogers says he has spent months talking to employees and to members of the public, but he says mostly importantly, he has spent more time listening to their needs and concerns about the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.
