Lafayette Teen Charged In Sunday Shooting

Lafayette Police were called out to the scene of an early morning Sunday shooting in the 2400 block of North West Evangeline Thruway. According to Lafayette Police a 16 year old boy accidentally fired a handgun and injured a 21 year old woman. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries were she is listed in stable condition. The teen faces a charge of discharging a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
