Lafayette Teen Turns Self In After Shooting
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- A 17-year-old Lafayette man has turned himself in and is facing several charges following a shooting Monday.
Cpl. Kyle Soirez with the Lafayette Police Department says Dovontay Helaire apparently was in some type of altercation at the home on Chester Street earlier in the day. Soirez says he came back with a gun, fired off multiple shots, then fled the scene.
Helaire is facing four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
No injuries were reported.
