Lafayette Walks For Life On Saturday

St. Edmond KC Council #10293 held their annual Right to Life Walk on Saturday as people walked for "the innocent unborn" from St. Edmond Church on W. Congress Street to St. Mary Church on Doucet Road.

At 8:00 a.m., there was reflective prayer and music in St. Edmond Catholic Church. At 8:30 a.m., Reverend Bishop Michael Jarrell spoke to those gathered. And at about 9:00 a.m., walkers made the 4.4 mile roundtrip walk between the two churches, praying the Rosary and listening to inspirational music as they walked. Courtesy vans were made available for participats who could not walk all or part of the route.
