Lafayette Woman Arrested For Mistreating Patient

A woman is accused of mistreating a special needs patient. Captain Kip Judice with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says a complaint was filed in September against Courtney Minix of Lafayette Parish. Minix was an employed care giver assigned to the patient, who is mentally handicapped and requires 24-hour care. Minix was arrested and charged with cruelty to the infirm. She is now out of jail after posting the $5,000 bond.
