Lafayette Woman Killed In Sunday Night Crash

A 29-year-old Lafayette woman is dead following a head-on crash on the Youngsville Highway Sunday night.

Lafayette Police say the driver of a Jeep Cherokee crossed the center line and crashed into a Honda Accord driven by Cacie L. Barras.

The driver and passenger of the Cherokee did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, but Barras was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
