Lafayette Woman Reigns As Miss Black Louisiana USA

A Lafayette native begins her reign as the newest Miss Black Louisiana USA.

Ashley Elizabeth Hebert graduated from Lafayette High School in 2003 and holds a political science degree from LSU.

Hebert says she plans to address the current condition of Higher Education in the state.

And her message? Let your smile change the world, but don't let the world change your smile.
