Lafayette’s Festival International – Less Than 3 Weeks Away

Festival International is just 15 days away and was recently voted "best free music festival in the world.  The 26th annual festival gets underway with Zydeco night Wednesday, April 25, 2012 followed by three full days and nights of family fun.  Festival Executive Director Dana Baker said "this year's festival will include performers from 15 countries".

Baker appeared on "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" today and said Festival volunteers can still sign up at www.festivalinternational.com.  According to Baker the festival continues to be a free festival due to all the volunteers who devote so much of their time and the sale of Festival pins.

As in past years Festival International will feature refreshments and foods from local vendors including newly introduced food trucks.
