THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — The search is on for principals in the Lafourche Parish School System.

Officials are seeking replacements for the principals at Central Lafourche High School and Sixth Ward Middle School. They're also trying to fill vacant assistant principal positions at South Lafourche High and Raceland Upper Elementary.

The Courier reports that Marla Tabor, who has overseen Sixth Ward for seven years, resigned last week. Jimmy Ledet, who has overseen Central Lafourche for six and a half years, will retire at the end of the school year after 32 years in the school system.

The South Lafourche position was left open last year when Greg Terrebonne retired.
