Lake Charles Family Arrested In Bath Salt Sting
A mother and her two sons are behind bars for allegedly getting caught with illegal bath salts.
State Police say they were able to catch the accused criminals when an agent with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service delivered a package containing MDMA as well as MDPV to a Lake Charles address. Troopers say 25-year-old Daniel Oliver signed for the package, then agents arrested him. The estimated street value of the drugs is about $134,000 for three kilos of bath salts.
48-year-old Daniel, 24-year-old Matthew and 48-year-old Verna Oliver are in the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on $50,000 bond each. They are charged with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance.
