Lake Charles Man Arrested For Incest

News partner KATC TV-3 has reported 63-year-old Douglas Phelps was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on five counts of aggravated incest.

Kim Myers, Media Relations Director, with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, said bond has been set at $350,000 for Phelps-who has been booked for five counts of aggravated incest.

Investigators learned of the incidents when the victim told a teacher that beginning at the age of six years old, Phelps would inappropriately touch her when her family would visit him in Lake Charles.
