This past Friday, the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations investigated and arrested Natalie Fontenot for insurance fraud.

Police say Fontenot was claiming to have been in a vehicle under her name during a crash back in April of 2010. She also allegedly claimed that her young son was in the car with her.

After the police investigated, they found evidence that she and her son were not in the car during the time of the crash. She even admitted to this during an interview.

She was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center and could face up to five years in prison and $5,000 dollars in fines.

The State Police would like to remind you to call (225) 952-3701 or (225) 925-3702 if you have any knowledge of fraudulent insurance schemes in the state.
