Oh boy.  What a statement to make and now she is on record.  Mary Landrieu came out in the Senate and said the following,

I am not going to keep cutting the discretionary budget, which by the way is not out of control, despite what you hear on Fox News.

Senator Mary Landrieu has drawn herself into a corner with Barack Obama with this statement.  She is someone that has decided, much like the President, that the spending is no big deal.

Let's not forget that we had $10 Trillion of debt for the nation when Barack Obama took office.  Now, we are seeing $16 Trillion and there seems to be no end in sight.  The President himself said that we had to address the deficit, but that we wouldn't do it by doing anything to Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security.

Boil it all down and you get the recipe that most conservatives hate to even talk about.  That would be the recipe for taxing more and spending even more.  For some reason, people currently running the country think that spending more money will help us to get out of debt.  That would be the equivalent of an alcoholic saying that more drinking would cure them.  We all know that is not going to happen.

It is clear that Mary Landrieu has said that our spending problem is not that big of a deal.  Never mind that we ran up around 60 percent more debt under Obama's first term than what we had before he took office.

No, Senator Landrieu, we do have a spending problem.  What's worse is we also have a leadership problem.  If leaders don't recognize that we need to stop spending more than we bring in, then things will only get worse.
