The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says Highway 90 will be reduced to one lane of traffic in the westbound direction between Tuesday and Saturday.

DOTD will be doing median shoulder work on Highway 90 at Highway 92 between the area of Smede Highway and Southwood Drive near Youngsville.

The work will be done each day between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and it will impact Highway 90 in both Lafayette and St. Martin Parishes.

If the weather cooperates, that portion of the work in that area should be wrapped up by Saturday.  DOTD says all lanes of traffic will be open at night.

They caution drivers that permit loads are restricted to 16 feet in width.
