Lap Dances With Welfare Cards Targeted by Congressman Boustany
Congressman Charles Boustany says "enough is enough" with wasteful spending by some welfare recipients.
The Lafayette Congressman tells "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" he wants to put a stop to crazy spending behavior by some welfare recipients. The misuse of welfare dollars, Boustany says, really fires him up. Spending on entertainment must end.
Boustany is the chief sponsor of a bill that passed the U.S. House. Boustany says when old style welfare was reformed years ago into the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program (TANF), an oversight made it possible for recipients to use benefits for unintended purposes; like gambling, booze or lap dances.
