The goal of the program is celebrate the local cuisine.  Some restaurants have specials as part of the campaign, and at each of the locations, patrons can sign up to win two airline tickets and a four night stay at a Hard Rock Hotel in the Caribbean.

The "Eat Lafayette" campaign began ten years ago with local restaurant owner Charley Goodson suggesting the idea to the Lafayette Convention and Visitor's Commission.

Ticket holders to last night's event were able to experience many of the signature dishes that make local Lafayette restaurants a success.
