Governor Bobby Jindal has signed the bill that would give a larger tax break to parents who pay private school tuition and other school supplies.Tara Cunningham with the Louisiana Department of Revenue says the new law would remove the 50% cap on deductions for education. Cunningham says the the bill by Livonia Sen. Rob Marionneaux, allows the full maximum tax deduction of $5,000 per child for school tuition. She also says according to the bill the tax break is expected to reduce state government revenue by $5.3 million a year.
