CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — Prosecutors in Colorado begin their final push today to have movie theater shooter James Holmes sentenced to death.

On Monday jurors rejected arguments that the former neuroscience graduate student's mental illness means he should not die.

The same jury swiftly rejected Holmes' insanity defense, deciding he was capable of telling right from wrong when he carried out the theater attack in the Denver suburb of Aurora on July 20, 2012, that killed 12 people and wounded dozens of others.
