According to the calendar, there are about two weeks left in the 2017 Hurricane Season. It's already been one of the busiest seasons in the past few years. It's not done yet.

Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center are currently monitoring an area of disturbed weather that could become the 19th named storm of the current season. Fortunately for us, this area of disturbed weather is far out at sea and expected to stay that way.

The Hurricane Center is giving the storm system a 50% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone over the next five days at it churns very near the Azores Islands. Right now the greatest threat appears to be too commercial shipping lanes and perhaps the European continent as the system is expected to move in a northeasterly direction.
