Brandon Scott Lavergne Pleads Not Guilty

An arraignment for 33-year-old Brandon Scott Lavergne was held today at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. He pled not guilty for the charges against him.  Lavergne was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping in the May 19th disappearance of 22-year-old Mickey Shunick of Lafayette and a second count of first-degree murder in the killing of Lisa Pate in Acadia Parish 13 years ago.  Because of security concerns, Lavergne was arraigned in a courtroom at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
