One team has started the season on a 3-game undefeated win streak; the other is hoping a change made in their last game will lead to a winning streak of its own.

The Central Catholic-Morgan City Eagles have been on a roll this season, knocking off a solid Class 2A Opelousas Catholic team in Week 2, as well as rolling up 124 points in two victories over St. John and Ascension Catholic.

The Lafayette Christian Academy Knights opened the season losing to two perennial playoff programs in Elton and Loreauville, then pulled off a big upset by going on the road and defeating Class 3A Ville Platte 36-6, a Bulldogs team that had shut out its previous two opponents.

The Eagles are led by all-everything weapon Stefano Garisco, an offensive star who has scored in numerous ways for CCMC and has racked up video game-like numbers for a program that is looking to knock Vermilion Catholic off the top of the district ladder.

The Knights made a big change last week, moving 3-year QB Reagan Miller to running back and freshman QB Zach Clement into his place. In turn, the Knights had their best offensive output of the young season to go along with a young defense that keeps getting better and better each week.

Kickoff for tonight's game is set for 7:00 p.m. Steve Peloquin will have the call. The game will be aired on Talkradio 960 AM and talkradio960.com.
