The state Senate gives final legislative passage to a bill that would allow passengers in the front seat of vehicles, but not drivers, to watch a movie while traveling on Louisiana roadways. Senate Transportation Chairman Joe McPherson of Woodworth says car manufactures want to sell vehicles that have "split-screen" technology. McPherson told Baton Rouge Senator Dan Claitor that law enforcement have testified this technology will not create a distraction to the driver. The measure heads to Governor Jindal's desk for his signature.
