The list of candidates to replace Superintendent Burnell Lemoine has been trimmed. UL-Lafayette's College of Education staff disqualified six applicants because they don't meet certification standards. The Lafayette Parish School Board plans to narrow the list to 10 out of 26 after it finishes up tonight's sixth and final public forum on the search. Tonight's meeting will be at Comeaux High School. Lemoine plans to retire at the end of the year when his contract expires.
