Cooperation between the community and police leads to the arrest of two fugitives in St. Mary Parish.

The Daily Review, a local newspaper publication, published the photos of two cousins in a "most wanted" feature in the paper on September 28th. Less than a week later, Patrick Harris and Gregory Harris turned themselves in to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Mark Hebert told the newspaper,

"the information that we receive from the general public actually leads to a lot of arrests."

Gregory Harris was arrested on warrants for possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and failure to appear on the charges of failing to report an accident. Patrick Harris was arrested on warrants for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS.

Gregory's bond was set at $15,000 and Patrick's was set at $15,750.
